—Blasts from the past
2007 to 2010
Here is some of my work when design was all about features, shine, and differentiation. Back then, I art directed concepts and final graphics mainly for mobile like the Disney feature smartphone, but also for cars and home appliances.
Disney
This work is from when Disney mobile in Japan just released its first Android smartphone with 5 highly interactive widgets and a live wallpaper. Playful yet sophisticated for the Japanese market, with strong visual connections to the world of Disney.

Continental
Anything with a display should have a nice UI. The car industry is another field where nice graphics is part of the interior and here are some samples of designs made for Mercedes Benz via Continental. This was done in a time where traditional dials where starting to be replaced by screens. Other clients in this category worth mentioning are Volvo, Toyota, Saab, and Ford.

Orange
In my years at TAT, I worked closely with Orange creating their new digital look & feel with both iconography, motion design, and content-based visuals as wallpapers, etc. They had a very good marketing team and creating content that fitted the brand was both hard and fulfilling.

Sony Ericsson
Sony Ericsson was another longtime partner and they often asked for content design as wallpapers or themes for mobile phones. Shown here are wallpapers for Worms and Valentine campaigns that went straight to the top in the top downloaded section.

Print UI
This was an internal personal project visualising what could be done without using a lot of 3D or skeuomorphic design, and to push the boundaries of user interfaces on handheld devices. Highly inspired by the sophisticated fashion magazines and it promotes a clean and compelling animation language.
